ABOUT

Javiel Rowe, LMSW

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker, licensed in several states in the United States. I became a social worker after discovering my passion for helping those who have been disadvantaged and seeing the beauty in their triumph. I’m from west Texas and obtained my education throughout the area, graduating from Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Social Work with a clinical concentration.

I have been privileged to work with a variety of populations, including those in hospice care and their caregivers, clients in crisis with suicidal ideation, clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and those going through significant life changes.

My primary focus and favorite population to work with is those hoping to improve their relationships. Whether you’re a new couple working on building a firm baseline for communication, partners needing to break through years of conflict, an individual wanting to learn the skills to form healthy relationships from the ground up, or anyone in-between, I would be thrilled to work with you.

ABOUT

Relationship Counseling

What is Relationship Counseling?

Relationship counseling focuses not on choosing sides or convincing each other of who is right or wrong. Rather, relationship counseling emphasizes the importance of communication and understanding between partners.

Is Relationship Counseling Right for Us?

Relationship counseling is not just for partners in distress! Relationship counseling can help you and your partner(s) develop skills for maintaining healthy communication & boundaries, rework existing unhelpful conflict styles to improve understanding, and rediscover why you fell in love in the first place.

What can I Expect from Our Sessions?

After a handful of history and information gathering intake sessions and the completion of assessments, a unique relationship blueprint highlighting your strengths and challenge areas will be provided to you, along with a session developing a treatment plan based on your needs. After this, sessions will generally include practicing new communication skills, planning for small changes between sessions, and discussing difficult topics in a safe environment that is conducive to developing mutual understanding.
